The Wine: Bartucci Bugey Cerdon Ancestral 2019
Interesting pink, semi-dry and low alcoholic sparkling wine; made with spontaneous fermentation in the ancestral method: Bottled during fermentation, with a carbon dioxide supersaturation with about 40g of residual sugar. No added sulfites. Perfect for an aperitif or after dinner.

Raphaël Batucci is of Italian origin. In the 1950s his parents left Calabria to go live in the Moselle in France. Here Rapahel grew up, studied electro-mechanics and spent summers with her parents in the Bugey region where she fell in love with the landscape. Attracted by a quieter country life, years later he bought a piece of land in Merignat where he still lives. This happened in 1981, he rebuilt the house in ruins and planted some vineyards for his own consumption. His first vintage was in 1983. At that time his dedication was limited, only in the afternoons and on weekends. He was self-taught and did not resign himself to doing things like his neighbors. For him, wine should be something noble that comes from nature and could not be perverted by chemistry. He had the opportunity to meet Marcel Lapierre and Pierre Overnoy, which reinforced this impression. Since 1992 he has dedicated himself entirely to winemaking.
Today it has 2.1 hectares of vineyards planted throughout these years and spread over 10 plots. Most of it is Gamay, the rest is Poulsard and a tiny part is Chardonnay. Its annual production is 15,000 bots.

It just makes an extremely fresh and drinkable ancestral rosé wine, with a blend of varieties (Gamay, Poulsard and Chardonnay) that it labels under the Bugey Cerdon Appellation.
The Region: Bugey
Cerdon is one of the three sub-appellations of the Bugey appellation of the southern Jura mountains. The wines are exclusively sparkling rosés made with the Gamay and Poulsard grape varieties. They have become one of the most famous wines made in this part of eastern France. This despite the fact that they are in stark contrast to the light alpine white wines that Bugey and Savoie are famous for.
The Cerdon cru covers the vineyards surrounding the small village of Cerdon within the administrative department of Ain. The village is located in an area of chaotic topography: a tight mosaic of rounded hills, ridges and narrow valleys in the mountains of southern Jura.

Shipments take between 24-72h (working days) to reach the destination in peninsular shipments. Consultation through the firstname.lastname@example.org if it is an urgent shipment or you need it for a specific date.
In shipments to the Balearic Islands and other countries, the order may take a few more days to be shipped.
These times are estimates. We try to manage the orders as quickly as possible, but we are not responsible if once the shipments are processed in Correos or Correos Express they suffer delays.
In case of weekends, holidays or force majeure, the Orders will be attempted as soon as possible, but we do not promise to meet these delivery dates.
