Wine: De Sol a Sol Airén

De Sol a Sol Airén is a natural wine from centuries-old vines without grafting, planted on clay soils and very poor limestone. Manual harvest and cold film maceration for almost 400 days in stainless steel tanks prior to spontaneous alcoholic fermentation. Once this process is finished, it remains a couple of months with its fine lees before being bottled by gravity. Stabilization is natural and does not leak. No added additives.
A dense, deep and fresh wine. Notes of white fruit, honeys, and citrus touches stand out. A wine with a lot of personality, an authentic wine. A tribute to all the Farmers who have made an effort from "sunrise to sunset" to work the land, with dignity and simplicity typical of free and wise people.
Ideal to enjoy with friends accompanied by stews, stews and other slow dishes.

The producer: Julián Ruiz Villanueva

Julián Ruiz Villanueva cultivates about 50 hectares of vineyards, most of them very old, even pre-phylloxera. The winery, located in Quero (Toledo), is committed to indigenous varieties whose plants feed on a soil of sand and lime, with minimal intervention, allowing the terroir and varieties to express themselves naturally without filters.

The Region: Toledo

Quero is a Spanish municipality in the province of Toledo, in the center of the Autonomous Community of Castilla-La Mancha. Its economy revolves around agriculture, vineyards and cereals, as well as livestock. Its Cervantes, cultural and environmental character is also notable.

Shipments

Rates and shipping options

At Bebedistinto we like to be transparent in everything we do. When it comes to buying products online, shipping is the most important aspect, which is why we take great care in shipping and handling orders using only 100% recycled packaging material.

An important premise: wine bottles are heavy (about 1.4 kg each) and shipping is expensive. At Bebedistinto we are proud to be an independent online store, and therefore we must charge shipping on most orders, otherwise we would not be in business. However, we do our best to offer very competitive shipping rates.

Shipments take between 24-72 hours (working days) to reach the destination in peninsular shipments. Check via email hello@bebedistinto.com if it is an urgent shipment or you need it for a specific date.

What is natural wine

Natural winemaking has become a movement akin to a revolution, a nemesis of the industrialization and homogenization of wine in the last three decades. Natural winemakers are at the forefront of this movement, rejecting industrial winemaking techniques and the excessive use of pesticides, fungicides, herbicides or fertilizers in the vineyard. Perhaps even more importantly, natural wine should be seen as an agricultural product where agriculture is an essential part. Agricultural conditions, labor rights, sustainability and ethical practices throughout the supply chain are now at the center of the natural wine discourse.

Why should you try natural wine?

Natural wine is probably the most fascinating wine on the market. Discovering natural wines is made even more exciting by the fact that each vintage is different and has a different flavor. The non-interventionist winemaking approach, together with the best organic and biodynamic practices in the vineyards, give wines of unique character. If you want to know more about this exciting world, click on the "Read more" links. We hope you enjoy learning about natural wine!
