The Wine: Kármán Clarete

Made from old garnacha and viura vines, grown on clay-ferrous soils on the Cerro Calvario plot, in the municipality of Cordovín. Made in stainless steel tanks. with native yeasts, fermented at a low temperature. Subsequent aging on its lees for 3 months.

The producer: Gómez Cruzado

The origin of GÓMEZ CRUZADO dates back to 1886, when Mr. Ángel Gómez de Arteche, a Mexican nobleman related to the Duchy of Moctezuma de Tultengo, decided to make and bottle wines in Haro, in the heart of Rioja Alta. Thus was born in the Barrio de la Estación de Haro one of the centenary wineries that wrote the history of modern Rioja at the end of the 19th century. After its foundation, in 1916 GÓMEZ CRUZADO was bought by Mr. Agustín and Mr. Jesús Gómez Cruzado, of Riojan origin, from whom it takes its current name. After the succession of several investors over the decades, with the turn of the century, the winery came into the hands of the current owners, the Baños family, originally from the Rioja town of Badarán and residing in Mexico, thus recovering its family character. After more than 130 years of history, the intense renovation of the Gómez Cruzado project has culminated in the conception of a range of wines with the will of the delicacy to the origin and the way of doing the place, in such a way that they always transport to the emotion of the encounter with a great wine from Haro. A family of historical wines coexists in Gómez Cruzado in concept because they are the same as the great Riojas of assembly, the result of the complementarity of grapes that seek perfection: Gómez Cruzado Blanco 2nd Year, Selected Harvest, Crianza, Reserva, Gran Reserva and Honorable. Together with them, the Terroir Selection is a project born from the concern to share the diversity that exists within the vast Rioja, the expression of exceptional and original places whose imprint is revealed in three wines: Pancrudo, Cerro Las Cuevas and Montes Obarenes .

At Bebedistinto we like to be transparent in everything we do. When it comes to buying products online, shipping is the most important aspect, which is why we take great care in shipping and handling orders using only 100% recycled packaging material.

An important premise: wine bottles are heavy (about 1.4 kg each) and shipping is expensive. At Bebedistinto we are proud to be an independent online store, and therefore we must charge shipping on most orders, otherwise we would not be in business. However, we do our best to offer very competitive shipping rates.

What is natural wine

Natural winemaking has become a movement akin to a revolution, a nemesis of the industrialization and homogenization of wine in the last three decades. Natural winemakers are at the forefront of this movement, rejecting industrial winemaking techniques and the excessive use of pesticides, fungicides, herbicides or fertilizers in the vineyard. Perhaps even more importantly, natural wine should be seen as an agricultural product where agriculture is an essential part. Agricultural conditions, labor rights, sustainability and ethical practices throughout the supply chain are now at the center of the natural wine discourse.

Why should you try natural wine?

Natural wine is probably the most fascinating wine on the market. Discovering natural wines is made even more exciting by the fact that each vintage is different and has a different flavor. The non-interventionist winemaking approach, together with the best organic and biodynamic practices in the vineyards, give wines of unique character.
